Who we are

Goneid Çiftlik is a self-sufficient, non-profit family farm dedicated to practicing and sharing sustainable methods that work with nature, harness its abundance, and protect, even restore, the balance of ecological landscapes.

We believe in learning and teaching ways of living that respect the earth’s rhythms, support biodiversity, and create a symbiotic relationship with the land. Our farm is a safe space for integrating with the ecosystem in a healthy and positive way, with the hope of spreading this lifestyle and system to others.

Our primary cultivation is an organic almond orchard, grown in harmony with natural cycles and without chemical intervention. We also grow seasonal vegetables and fruit trees, which, along with our almonds, support not only people but the wildlife around us. The surrounding ecosystem: birds, rabbits, goats, hedgehogs, and many other woodland species, thrives on the land’s fruitfulness and the natural food chain that has taken root here.

Less than ten years ago, this land was a garbage disposal site. Through years of planting trees, sowing seeds, and nurturing the soil, it has become a fertile valley, a haven that attracts life. The farm has improved local biodiversity, enriched the soil, and transformed a once-barren space into a thriving home for both people and nature. Simply planting seeds has brought life back to this place.

In tending this land and witnessing its ecological bloom, we discovered something profound: that nature itself holds the simplest and most effective answers to today’s environmental crises. By working with its patterns, we not only heal what was damaged, but transform it into something stronger, richer, and more abundant than before. This farm stands as living proof that a damaged place can become a source of life, and that solutions rooted in nature create benefits that last for generations.
